To foster a thriving, ethical, and inclusive authority exchange community rooted in respect, accountability, and growth. We envision a space where individuals can explore power with integrity, deepen their relational skills, and engage in meaningful conversations about identity, privilege, structure, consent, and responsibility — while feeling protected, supported, and seen.

To create a structured and protected space for education, dialogue, and community-building around consensual authority exchange.

IPeX exists to:

• Provide thoughtful discussion and learning opportunities centered on power exchange dynamics
• Cultivate a culture of consent, confidentiality, and accountability
• Support individuals at all stages of experience — from curious newcomers to seasoned practitioners
• Maintain a space that prioritizes psychological safety over performance, play, or social status

We are not a play space or dating group. Our work centers conversation, reflection, and relational integrity.

We commit to transparent processes, clear boundaries, and consistent follow-through. Complaints are taken seriously and reviewed with care, fairness, and discretion. Leadership remains accountable to the community we serve.

Confidentiality

What is shared here stays here. Trust is the foundation of authentic participation. Identities, stories, and personal disclosures are protected. Safety is actively preserved, not assumed.

Inclusivity

We are committed to diversity, equity, and accessibility. We welcome individuals across gender identities, sexual and romantic orientations, races, ethnicities, bodies, abilities, educational backgrounds, and lived experiences. We do not tolerate transphobia, racism, sexism, homophobia, ableism, body shaming, or disparagement of consent culture.

We recognize that kink and power exchange exist within broader social and political realities, and we hold space for those intersections thoughtfully.

Authority exchange is not static. We believe in continual learning, skill development, emotional intelligence, and relational depth. Education is an ongoing process, and we welcome feedback as part of community evolution.

Participation & Structure

IPeX events are private and require vetting and committee approval prior to attendance. Event locations are shared only with approved participants. Participation in public events does not guarantee acceptance into private spaces.

This group is not an announcement list for unrelated events. Posts should align with IPeX’s focus on authority exchange, education, and community discussion.

Kink.town

Kink.town provides privacy focused hosting services for kinky groups that want to keep their members save from predatory corporate solutions.

We base everything on open source tools, modified as necessary to give the best privacy and security guarantees that we can. These tools are often rough around the edges or lack features found in for-profit products, but we hope the knowledge that your private chats are not being hoovered up for LLM training makes the learning curve worthwhile.

Our servers are based in Europe, end-to-end encrypted to the extent possible, and every effort is made to remove calls to 3rd party services.

Chat

The kink.town chat implementation is based on Movim and ejabberd which use the XMPP standard. Movim builds on these standards to create a system similar to Discord, with "Spaces" that are like servers with different chat and voice/video/screen share call rooms and user permissions as well as encrypted DMs, stories, personal and group posts.

Users of any Kink.town chat can interact with any other Kink.town users and groups on an invitation basis, but will not be suggested any other groups or shown other group content.

Members Only

Accounts here are by invitation, and only for vetted IPeX group members. Existing members can reach out to request an invitation.

Signing in

Open ipex.kink.town and sign in with your full address, yourname@ipex.kink.town, not just your username. New members get a one-time invitation link to create their account.

Encryption

Private and group chats are end-to-end encrypted as are small voice / video calls. "Large call" rooms that use the Galene proxy for performance reaons are not. The first time you sign in it may take a moment to set up your encryption keys before you will be able to send your first message.

Voice and video calls

If nobody can see or hear you in a call, your browser or network connection is probably blocking WebRTC. In most browsers there is a setting that you can toggle to allow this. VPN browser extensions often have a “WebRTC leak protection” switch which you will need to turn off for kink.town to allow calls to work.

Apps and clients

Kink.town is powered by the Movim XMPP web client and ejabberd. You can install this web app via your browser on most phones and operating systems, which will allow a better experience and notifications to work when the page is closed.

You can also use chat apps such as Conversations (Android), Monal (iPhone) or Gajim (desktop) with the same address and password, however they may not support all of the same features as the Movim app.

Most client apps will assume you start conversations unencrypted, but the kink.town servers reject unencrypted messages, so you may have to manually turn on encryption, called OMEMO, before messages will send.

Who runs this

This server is run by [NAME / ORGANISATION] for members of [GROUP NAME]. It is not a commercial service.

What we store

Your account address, profile details you choose to share, your contact list, and message history needed to sync your devices. Chat messages are end-to-end encrypted (OMEMO) and stored only in encrypted form. Server logs are kept for [N] days for troubleshooting.

What isn't end-to-end encrypted

Blog posts, community posts, comments and stories, and the names and member lists of Spaces, rooms and communities, are stored on the server without end-to-end encryption. Private ones are hidden from other members, but the people running the server can technically read them. Large group calls pass through the server’s conference service, so their audio and video are not end-to-end encrypted either. One-to-one calls and small group calls are end-to-end encrypted between participants, even when they are relayed through the server.

What we don't do

No ads, no tracking scripts, no analytics, and no selling or sharing your data. This page loads nothing from third parties.
